1. Request deletion
Email info@audita1.com with the subject A1 Audit account deletion request and include the email address used for the account. We may request additional information to verify identity and authority.
We aim to respond to a verified request and complete eligible deletion normally within 30 days. A complex request may take longer where verification, billing, fraud, security, platform or legal review is required; we will explain a lawful extension where applicable.
2. Data normally deleted or de-identified
After verification and subject to the exceptions below, A1 Audit deletes or de-identifies account data no longer needed, such as:
- eligible profile and display-name data;
- obsolete authentication, recovery and session information under A1 Audit control;
- inactive device records that are not required for security, contract or claim evidence;
- ordinary support content after its retention period; and
- other account-linked personal data with no remaining lawful purpose.
3. Records that may be retained
Deletion does not require A1 Audit or its providers to destroy records that must or may lawfully be retained. The current development baseline is:
- invoices, payments, refunds, VAT/tax and core accounting records: generally seven years after the relevant financial year;
- organisation, purchasing-authority and contract records: generally seven years after the relationship ends;
- legal acceptance evidence: for the agreement and generally seven years afterwards;
- licence activation, transfer, replacement and revocation history: generally seven years after entitlement termination;
- security and abuse-prevention events: normally 24 months, with longer retention for an active incident or legal hold;
- ordinary support records: normally 24 months after closure;
- complaints, disputes, incidents and legal claims: generally seven years after closure;
- privacy and deletion-request evidence: normally five years after completion; and
- release, security and technical-file evidence: normally ten years after the relevant release or longer published support period.
Provider-controlled records may also remain under Stripe, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Supabase, Cloudflare or another provider’s legal obligations and retention rules. A1 Audit minimises what it keeps and periodically reviews legal holds.
4. Subscriptions and payment methods
Deleting an account is not the same as cancelling a subscription, withdrawing a SEPA mandate or requesting a refund. Manage future renewal through the available Stripe Customer Portal or contact A1 Audit before deletion. Payment providers may retain financial and mandate records independently. A1 Audit does not store complete card numbers, CVC values, bank login credentials or full bank-account numbers.
5. Desktop licences
Account deletion may end account-linked licence access and revoke active device identities. Existing local audits are not deleted automatically. Where the app enters a restricted state, applicable local audits remain available for viewing and export in accordance with the licence terms.
6. Local audit data
Audit plans, questions, answers, findings, evidence, images, OCR text, reports, imports, exports and related metadata are intended to remain locally stored. Delete them inside the app where available, clear the app’s local data, or uninstall the app. Files stored elsewhere must be deleted separately from those locations.
7. Partial deletion and correction
You may request deletion or correction of specific account-related data without deleting the entire account. Describe the data concerned and the requested action. We will explain any record we cannot delete and the reason for retention.
8. Evidence of the request
A1 Audit retains a minimal record of the request, verification, decision and completion normally for five years. Identity documents supplied only for verification are removed sooner when no longer needed.
